About the Venue

Château de Maulmont is steeped in rich history, dating back to the 13th century when it was a Templar stronghold built by Renaud de Vichy after returning from the Crusades. Located on the hills overlooking the Valley of the River Allier, it has preserved elements from its original structure, including the Templar's crest above the archway.

Over centuries, the chateau has transitioned through noble families and significant renovations, including transformation into a hunting lodge by Princess Adelaide Louise d'Orléans in 1830. Today, Château de Maulmont is a beautifully renovated estate that offers a magical setting for various events.

The chateau, surrounded by lush gardens and located in a 22-hectare private estate, is an ideal location for dream weddings and luxury events. It is situated centrally in France, just 12 km south of the UNESCO spa town of Vichy and 35 km north of Clermont-Ferrand, making it accessible for guests from across France and beyond.

Château de Maulmont offers 21 elegant rooms, suites, and apartments with a total capacity of 64 guests, plus 10 additional beds. Each accommodation is distinct, featuring private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, televisions, DVD players, and complimentary bathrobes and slippers.

The rooms are located throughout the castle, providing views of the lush courtyard, gardens, or the stunning Allier Valley. Highlights include the "Princesse Adélaïde" room with a 360° panoramic view and balcony, and the Louis Philippe suite, which overlooks the gardens. Some accommodations are family suites, ideal for guests traveling with children.

Getting there

From Paris: Take the A10 and A71 motorways towards Clermont-Ferrand, then the A89 to reach Château de Maulmont. The journey takes approximately 4 hours by car. Alternatively, take a direct train from Gare de Lyon to Vichy, followed by a short 15-minute drive to the château.

From London: Fly to Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne Airport via a connecting flight through Paris or Lyon. Upon arrival, rent a car for a 45-minute drive to Château de Maulmont. Alternatively, take the Eurostar to Paris and follow the driving directions from Paris to the château.
