About the Venue

Château Gassies is a luxury château located just 10 minutes from Bordeaux, France. Spanning 14 hectares of manicured gardens and meadows, the estate offers breathtaking views of the Garonne River and the Bordeaux wine region. This 18th-century château is an ideal venue for French weddings, private events, and corporate functions. Couples can exchange vows in the estate’s serene oak groves or one of two elegant covered courtyards, surrounded by ancient oak trees. Château Gassies' West Terrace provides an impressive setting for cocktail receptions with its panoramic views over the Garonne Valley. For indoor receptions, the Charles X room accommodates up to 150 guests with its original stone walls, exposed beams, and chandeliers. The château’s grounds, including its well-kept gardens and picturesque pond, offer stunning backdrops for any wedding photographer. Château Gassies is truly a premier wedding venue, providing a memorable experience for couples and their guests.

Château Gassies offers luxurious accommodations for up to 43 guests across six elegantly designed suites and three fully equipped guesthouses. Each suite, such as the Cedre Suite with its four-poster bed and chandelier, combines antique furnishings with modern amenities like air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and Wi-Fi. The guesthouses (Gîte Orangerie, Gîte Calèche, and Gîte Vignes) provide spacious, self-catering options with full kitchens and private terraces. Gîte Calèche, at 160 sqm, accommodates up to 10 guests, while Gîte Vignes offers a more intimate experience with a layout perfect for two to four guests.

Getting there

From Paris:  take the TGV high-speed train to Bordeaux, which takes approximately 2 hours. From Bordeaux, Chateau Gassies is a 20-minute drive via the A630 and D113 roads, providing a quick and convenient route to the venue.

From London:  take the Eurostar to Paris and then the TGV to Bordeaux. Alternatively, direct flights from London to Bordeaux are available, with a flight time of around 1.5 hours. Upon arrival in Bordeaux, a short 20-minute drive will bring you to Chateau Gassies, making it easily accessible for international guests.
