It is time to open the doors today to The Study as we meet the renowned photographer Stephen Liberge. Having known Stephen and his work for a number of years on the French Wedding Directory, I’m thrilled that you get to know him a little better today.
Stephen specialises in captured your wedding story and he understands that by booking him, he enters your wedding family circle for the day.
Let’s find out more about Stephen:
“I grew up in a small village in the South West of France near Bordeaux called Arbanats. I love thinking back to my childhood of cycling in the vineyards and playing in the fields, and getting to run home and have BBQs in the garden with my family.
At the age of 7 I lost my Father and pictures took on a different meaning for me. I would spend hours hunting through old dustry shoeboxes of photos looking to reconnect with the person who was no longer here. So much so that photographer become my passion.
They say that things happen for a reason, so when chance had it that my Father-in-law was a professional photographer, I jumped at the chance to learn.
During this time I learnt so much more than just photography, and he taught me more about living in life. I enjoyed snowboarding, song-writing and learning guitar and to this day, it’s only music and my photography that I’ve taken into my heart.
Story telling is at the heart of what I do whether in photography or in music. In photography I love to capture the truth, the emotion and the simplicity of that moment in time. Much like the truth I sought in the images of my Father years ago.
Today I have the honour of being that story teller with my couples through their wedding photography.
I show love, I show tears, I show YOU.
I’m just a deeply human person who looks for working with couples in the same way.
A few words about my style, I love colors and dramatic lights, crop photos on your lips, a great staged photos of bridal party, tears from a father and more and more.
Each couple is different so I found my inspiration in your story.”
