french wedding favoursLets find out more about the lady Lou behind French Made: “I was born in Marseille, in the south of France. I started baking as a teenager and haven’t stopped since. Celebrating in style with good food has always been paramount for members of my French family. So for me it’s almost innate. Also, as well as being quite creative, I’ve always been attracted to what’s fashionable in a quirky way. For me, French Made has allowed me to combine it all tradition, creativity and quirkyness as well as my love for the shabby chic/ rustic/ vintage style.

red and white wedding favours“My cakes and bakes are mainly French inspired but I have been living in the UK for 15 years, so I learnt to adapt them to the British public too. ”

win wedding favours “I started making favours at my friends and family weddings and Christenings. They are very traditional in France. You can’t really get away with not giving one of them to your guests. I fell in love the way you can adapt to the different styles and themes.”

  • French Made packages are adorable! I think my wedding guests would LOVE them. Well who wouldn’t?!?
So my favorite french pick a sweet one : macarons. I know it sounds soooo cliché but I can’t help but love their delicate and charming appearance, and the fact that they are quite tricky to make. This makes it a challenge to bake them, and I love trying, because when they come out right….ohhh my! The joy is abundant!! I squeel in front of my oven like I just won ten puppies or something! LOL! And also, I make them dairy free, and of course they are naturally gluten free, so both me and my cheri can eat them! Besides…when you set a platter of macarons down in front a group of French guests…well, their eyes light up. The French LOVE macarons! And so do I!
My facebook name is Melissa Ladd.
Thank you for such a lovely giveaway! I look forward to exploring the other French made products!

  • Religieuse au chocolat because they are wonderfully chocolatey and as they are two pieces stacked together it’s like two treats for the price of one. Bargain.

  • French made favours look absolutely stunning and im sure my guests would really appreciate that extra touch x

  • It may seem silly but honestly my favorite french delicacy is the baguette! I so fondly remember my holidays to France and all I wan to eat whilst I am there is fresh baguettes! They taste so amazing, light and fresh and honestly the ones in the UK are rubbish in comparison! Thats not to talk about the pain au chocolat!!! MMMMM! =D And WINE!

I have reviewed my life and now realize I need to move to France!

My favourite French delicacies are Calissons from Aix-en-Provence – they look stunning, taste lovely and most importantly, the smell of them takes my right back to my two trips to that region where I first discovered them, with my wonderful French teacher at college and reminds me of my passion for that fab language – magnifique!! 🙂
