Christina is a natural light wedding photographer who is passionate about creating dreamy wedding photography and captures weddings internationally for couples who love adventure, fun and classic imagery. She has a passion for creating emotion filled, romantic images which have a clean, timeless feel to them.

“My number one goal is for every Christina Sarah bride to feel special, cared for and most of all excited about her wedding photography. With this at the forefront of my mind I have created a service that offers each unique bride an incredible EXPERIENCE!”

We’ll now pass you over to Christina who will be shedding some light on Micro Wedding’s – with Covid-19 changing many couples plans this smaller intimate wedding of around 20-50 guests is just the answer…

A micro wedding is all about an incredible experience for you and your guests! It’s a chance to focus on the finer details that ordinarily would be difficult and expensive to create for a guest list of 200. Less can definitely be more – your luxury wedding just became more feasible!!

It’s the same beautiful wedding you envisioned just with a smaller guest list. Imagine hiring a beautiful chateau for the weekend in the French countryside and you and your guests all staying onsite for a weekend to remember…

It’s still a day full of love and all the emotions, just on a more intimate scale making your wedding even more personal to everyone who attends.

Me and my husband opted for a small wedding of 35 guests (including both of us). The day included both our immediate families and a few of our closest friends and it was a special, intimate day.

The benefits we felt were: More time with all our guests who had traveled to France to be with us. Time together as newlyweds soaking it all up. Relaxed time with our photographer creating images that we adore and now have hanging up in our home. We also made the most of our destination wedding by continuing the celebrations; the few days that followed were filled with BBQ’s and garden games with all our guests and even a picnic at the beach together; it was a real weekend long wedding celebration.

What is a micro wedding

You can focus less on quantity and more on quality for example your wedding flowers can be more elaborate now that you have less tables to dress and you can enjoy planning a luxury wedding breakfast that will WOW your nearest and dearest.

You could even consider alfresco dining and all dine together on one long table! Outdoor wedding breakfasts always make for stunning photos too with all that beautiful natural light!

Personal touches like these wooden laser cut place cards are a wonderful keepsake for your guests and really make each guest feel extra special.

If we’re being honest, all of the wedding photos are important but the real favourites are almost always from my time with the bride and groom! These images will be the photos you frame beside your bed or hang on your walls and they will be the images that will grace the pages of your wedding album for future generations to enjoy. It’s a wonderful time for the bride and groom to just be together, soak up their incredible day and just take a few moments together as newlyweds which is even more incredible in the golden hour (the golden hour makes for incredible soft, flattering light).

With a less hectic schedule there’s more time for lovely pictures with each of your guests if you so wish – this just isn’t a feasible option with 200 guests with many couples opting for a large group photo of everyone that rarely gets framed or printed.

Smaller weddings are certainly not about sacrifice, they’re all about wonderful experiences, more luxury and ALL the fun, hey and lets face it more canapes…
