Welcome to another fabulous week lovely readers! Did you throw some shapes on the dance floor this weekend?
Well that is exactly what today’s couple Rudy and Nathalie did for their lavish Paris wedding, including a 10 minutes Michael Jackson Dance Show which Bride & Groom took an active part and which they had rehearsed more than 200 hours of practice with a pro choreographer over 5 months!!
Rudy used to live in Montpellier, South of France, and Nathalie in Paris 750 Km apart.
Bride Nathalie talks us through the day: “We fell in love in Montpellier, on holiday, and then started some regular TGV return trips Paris-Montpellier for 2 endless years. No one would have bet a coin on our couple respecting the proverb : “far from the eyes, far from the heart”, but we were deeply in love and sure of ourselves.
One particular weekend, he had romantically organized the Opera, 5* Hotel, Champagne, Lasserre / Michelin** restauran, Rudy made his official & unexpected proposal, in a very traditional way : one knee down. This moment was not only emotional because of the proposal, but also magical because of the place : in the heart of the city of love, in the middle of La Cour Carrée du Louvre specially lite for the occasion… Wow!
We then hesitated on who would cover the 750 km for the last time to relocate and the situation became dramatic when Rudy, one day, quite selfishly and also desparately called to say : “come and join me South or there is no point carrying on”. I of course cryed and answered that I would immediately quit my Parisian life for him. The very next day Rudy had listened to his heart, called back and decided that he would come to Paris.
When it came the time for the wedding, we decided it had to be extravagent, as a big & surprising gift for our guests. We have planned everything in details respecting friends’ suggestions and tastes.
We wanted a magnificent & refined wedding to look like a fairytale, which was directed for the guests. We wanted lavish hospitality & shared fun and laughter, in order to please and entertain our guests who covered some long distances (France, Switzerland, Canada, Serbia & Croatia) to be with us on this very special day.
We held 2 diferents ceremonies, one civil at the city hall, short official & legal, the second one much longer & a blessing at the reception place, in respect of all religions & faiths of our guests. The celebrant read a magnificent text which made a lot of people cry.
In conjection with our wedding planner Laura-Z Organisation, we spent hours on specific attentions like :
- Specific menus for some of the guests eating hallal & kosher
- Secured play room with games, nany & magician to entertain the kids
- Make-up artist available for any of the guests.
- Fun photobooth with accessories & immediate printing
- Cocktail bar
- Flip-flop shoes for girls to dance longer
- Cigars & water pipe bar
… and most impressively, the 10 minutes Michael Jackson Show in which Bride & Groom took an active part and which had needed more than 200 hours of practice with a pro choreographer over 5 months!
The evening ended with a magical firework in Paris sky, very close to the Eiffel tower !
And not forgetting our very special photographer Fred Marigaux who captured so discretely & perfectly well the spirit of the day, in a creative way.”
Thank you to Rudy and Nathalie for sharing their special day with us and Fred Marigaux for submitting this beautiful wedding.
