It is a first post in 2017 from real Belle Bride Victoria, who can officially say they are getting married this year! If you have missed another of Victoria’s posts so far you can catch up on them here.
But let’s catch up with #2017bridetobe Victoria: “Happy new year everyone,
Our visit to France was extremely busy but we are so happy and excited about how things are going for the wedding!
We visited our venue for the first time and were amazed by the incredible work the owner did on the renovation. It was originally barns for the castle and he turned it into a beautiful multi-space venue.
We also met with our floral artist and she immediately understood what we wanted (specifically for my huge natural flower crown). As I mention in my previous posts we are focusing on green and white with touch of gold and natural fabrics (kraft, wood, jute, raffia) for the decoration and we found treasure at Big Day Bazaar store.
We also set our mind on a caterer and on a menu. We were divided between something traditional and a food truck. We are so happy we found the perfect mix with À la tête du Client, a traditional French cuisine food truck. We will hire waiters and rent tableware to keep it a bit more traditional, but if the weather is good enough, each guest will be able to help themselves to the truck to pick their choice of meal.
But the best experience was definitely our adventure to Ireland with our wonderful photographer. Maxime and I arrived in Dublin the Wednesday morning and had the day to ourselves to visit around and Ricardo arrived for diner. He took us to a friendly vegetarian restaurant and the next morning we rented a car to go to the Wicklow Park by the military road. We’ve discovered amazing landscapes, very wild and colorful and get to know Ricardo more. We laughed so much, those 4 days were full of sharing, kindness and life. He sent us a sneak peek of our adventure on Saturday and we love him even more, his work is remarkable !

We came back to Halifax the second week of January and I had the chance to try my wedding dress the same week. Katrina is such an incredible and talented designer. Every time we have met about she stunned me and today was no exception. I tried my dress with the fabric for the first time, we set the last adjustments but I was already in love with my dress, again, she made me feel like a super model. I wish I could show you but I want to keep the surprise for the D day !
Talk to you soon,
Victoria
