In the spirit of love I had to squeeze a second post today for Melanie and John’s Valentine’s Day Wedding in Paris. After initially considering Disneyland as a possible wedding location, Melanie and John decided to hold their intimate wedding celebrations in the beautiful and romantic city of Paris.
On the edge of a quiet garden underneath the Eiffel Tower, officiant Arthur Gillette performed an intimate Valentine’s Day service, punctuated with poignant wording, as Melanie and John exchanged their vows.
Melanie, who wore a a stunning strapless ivory Maggie Sottero gown, fur stole and birdcage veil and John, wearing a black Tuxedo suit and customised cufflinks, braved the chill of the cold February day as they became husband and wife. After the ceremony, Andre and Suzanne (Belle Momenti Photography), took the happy couple on a whirlwind tour around the City – capturing them in some of the more romantic and some different locations, to ensure that they had a unique record of their special day, to share with friends and family after they returned home.
A lover of all-things-French and in particular, Parisian, Melanie had asked to have some photographs that evoked typically French scenes – choosing flowers outside a florist shop, selecting French artisan cheeses, and importantly, sitting outside a typically Parisian cafe…cue sipping Champagne as their first wedding toast outside the magnificent Cafe Roussillon!
Afterwards, having spent the first few days of their married life in this wonderful city, Melanie and John honeymooned on a relaxing cruise before celebrating with their friends and family back home in Florida.
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, especially those getting married today!
