Inspiration can be found in many forms and today Cedarwood Weddings are sharing with us some Swan Lake wedding inspiration from an editorial shoot. The shoot for Enchanted Brides Magazine in conjunction with Ace Photography, is based at Cedarwood’s Mooncake Lake (what a delightful name) and every detail of this swoon-worthy summer soiree is as graceful as a ballerina en pointe.
Full of frills, flowers and downy fluff, the wedding’s idyllic settings and delicate details will appeal to your fairytale passion. Cedarwood: “Working with wedding fashion designer Karen Hendrix Couture is always a thrill, but for Karen to design two dresses specifically in tune with the Swan Lake aesthetic sent us to the moon and back.
Using fabrics, feathers and texture, the couture wedding gown is beauty and grace in motion. Karen also designed a short reception gown which looks like it pirouetted right out of a ballet. European styling from Street Tuxedo ensures that the groom is handsomely tailored.”
Designs in Paper pairs classical style with rich, romantic fonts to create a paper suite at home with the graceful setting. We used sheet music from the famous ballet to hold a potpourri of petals and feathers for an ethereal exit for the bride and groom.
Cedarwood floral designers created a bridal bouquet in natural hues of whites, creams, nude and blush, using sweat peas, hydrangea, ranunculus, “Blizzard” roses and “White Majolika” spray roses, accented with coque white feathers and champagne ostrich feathers, also mirrored in the groom’s boutonniere. Fresh rose petals arranged in custom flourishes embellish the aisle with art. Fabric draping, a floral wreath and feather garlands decorate the altar in classic elegance.
Al Fresco beneath a Swarovski crystal chandelier, metallic toned linens and lace with bountiful flowers in neutrals and nudes add regal elegance to a beautifully dressed table. Handmade jewel embellished ribbon chair backs add a romantic flutter. Guests nibble on delicate bites including shrimp salad and egg ‘swan’ canapes, nestled on an edible ‘lake,’ along with scrumptious small plates from Copper Kettle.
Le Grand Courtâge French Champagne is the perfect bubbly for a celebration of love. Translated as “The Great Courtship“, La Grande Courtage is the perfect companion to pamper wedding guests, especially when overflowing from a tower of vintage gold rimmed glasses.
To top off the evening, a beautifully layered wedding cake from Royal Icing mimics a voluminous ruffle skirt. After sweets, the bride and groom glide in Cedarwood’s vintage rowboat at dusk, reflecting the moonlight shimmer of Cedarwood’s Mooncake Lake. A magical moment.”
Thank you to Linda and the Cedarwod team for sharing this magical wedding shoot.
