Happy Monday lovelies! We are kicking this brand new week off with a stylish Monaco wedding inspiration shoot that oozes glamour, just as you would expect from this tiny independent city.
The small principality of Monaco sits on the Mediterranean coast of southeastern France and is well known as the playground of the rich and famous. With its many luxury hotels, boutiques, nightclubs and restaurants, upscale casinos, yacht-lined harbor and the prestigious Formula 1 Grand Prix race it’s no wonder Monaco is such a popular destination.
The vendors wanted to go with understated elegance due to their luxury backdrop. From the fabulous Monte Carlo Bay Hotel, beautiful floral design by talented florist Stanislas Ducreux right through to the simplicity of the elegant wedding gown from Christophe Alexandre Docquin this styled shoot is a must see.
Taking us through todays stylish Monaco wedding inspiration shoot is talented destination wedding photographer Maddy Christina…
“Monaco, a country of glamour and dreams, cultivated by the most gorgeous princely weddings for generations. Getting married in Monaco is a bit like a dream, with most of time a mix of cultures from all over the world. This idea was the origin of the project of this styled shoot.”
“We had to find a place. Monte Carlo Bay was an obvious choice. A jewel of softness and greenery at the seaside, a little paradise away from all the madness of the city, a space to organise private ceremonies out of sight. Between the olive trees, it is almost a small taste of Provence with a view of your yacht.”
“The decoration part was entrusted to J’ai 2 Amours, for their taste for delicacy and refinement to the French. The choice of decorative elements is not trivial. The gypsophila was worked in by the talented Stanislas Ducreux, to bring back the freshness, the simplicity, and the elegance. Thus, the MAISON OPTION tableware brought a touch of sophistication, with mismatched glasses in gold and bronzes, still a reminder of Monegasque luxury.”
“Both wedding cakes were prepared by the team of the famous Chef Marcel Ravin, presenting sometimes an American touch, sometimes an adaptation of the traditional French pièce montée.”
“The question then arose of placing a small note of madness, to sublimate the sweet madness that makes everything possible in Monaco. It will be illustrated in jewelry, especially the extraordinary necklace of Jean-Charles Pellegrino, which highlights the dress and our bride gently. The symbol remains the watchword of this styled shoot. In the mixture of cultures, the will of sobriety and madness at the same time… Every detail has its importance, just as every detail is a story at a wedding!”
“The choice of dress was important because the whole purpose was not to go into excess. The sophistication and elegance of Christophe Alexandre Docquin was just perfect for dress of our bride. Just as a Crisoni Monaco suit allowed our groom to maintain this will of sobriety.”
And to capture the shoot, was the incredibly talented videographer Stephane M. Check out the video below:
