Happy hump day lovelies, are you ready for some gorgeous French September sunshine? Because today’s stylish garden party French wedding is full of glorious weather and pretty details.
Their wedding was held in the stunning garden of Claudia’s family’s property in Cahors, a town on the Lot river in the Midi-Pyrénées region of southern France. I’m sure you’ll agree the views are just breath-taking!
Claudia planned a day full of prettiness from large pastel balloons to rustic chic wedding signs, perfect for any stylish garden party.
FWS vendor La Bonne Fete, a marquee and furniture hire company supplying the surrounding areas of the Dordogne and South West France installed a large marquee in the grounds, perfect for all their guests.
“La Bonne Fête offers a service that meets your every need, in order for your special event to be all that you have ever dreamed of. An exclusive English Speaking Wedding and Party Hire organisation, run by husband and wife team Debbie and Chris Hills.”
All the lovely details and happy emotions were captured by talented wedding photographer Clare Robinson Photography…
‘From the first moment I met Claudia, I knew her wedding would be beautiful. As a wedding planner, you just get a feeling about a bride, and Claudia’s already extensive Pinterest board, full of balloons, feathers, pink, gold and glitter – sometimes all at the same time – was a very attractive first sight!
“The planning quickly took focus on visuals – with our styling branch, Love ♥ Coralberry kept busy in the lead up to the wedding day with new commissions and bespoke pieces, such as a soft drinks stand made from an old agricultural palette, the rustic ceremony arch and the beautiful multi-panel sign post.”
“The wedding took place on a scorching September afternoon at Claudia’s family’s property, perched on a hill and overlooking the breathtaking Cahors countryside. The location was spectacular and fabulously French, with vines everywhere you looked!”
“The ceremony was beautiful, with the guitarist leading the guests down the hill to the lawn area overlooking the valley. Following the ceremony, guests were led back up to the terrace where the couple cut their sparkly wedding cake and served this up with champagne, honouring their Dutch tradition.”
“Since the venue doubled as a fully functioning wine-making domaine, not only were the wines served during the wedding day grown in the vineyards surrounding the property, we also arranged a tour and wine tasting, or ‘dégustation’, for the guests, which took place during the cocktail following the cake. This was a huge success with almost all guests taking part. It also gave them a short respite from the heat of the Indian Summer we were experiencing outside!”
“Dinner was served in a marquee, hired from La Bonne Fete, on the other side of the building, with beautiful views over the valley. The marquee was expertly styled by the wonderful Love ♥ Coralberry team and our favourite florist, Faith from Le Coeur Sauvage. Claudia had a vision of branches covered in gold and fairy lights, suspended from the ceiling. Faith worked incredibly hard on this installation, which had to be amended when the initial marquee couldn’t be used due to the hard ground set-up location. The result was beautiful and gave aesthetic warmth to the marquee.”
“Alongside the ceiling décor, the Love ♥ Coralberry styling team did a great job of setting up the tables and creating the tablescape. With hessian runners, flowers and candles in jam jars, the look was simple but stylish. The napkins were folded and the gold dipped feathers Claudia had brought from Holland were placed inside.”
“The place names were beautifully written by our 2016 intern, Mante Kandrotaite, who also styled the welcome board and the menu – keeping in mind, particularly for the latter, Claudia’s love of gold!”
“The styling team displayed the boards in a rustic-chic manner, perfectly suited to the surroundings, using their stock of barrels and agricultural crates and some of Faith’s lovely florals. The effect was a photographer’s dream – as you can see from Clare’s photos!”
“Following dinner, the ATWGM team cleared the tables and the guests partied as the sun set over the valley – a truly spectacular sight – with DJ Orlando providing a fabulous mix of British/US music alongside plenty of Dutch hits to keep everyone on the dance floor!”
