When I saw the Sarah Houston 2012 Collection and found out about her french inspiration, I couldn’t wait to share it with you.
Sarah Houston designer bridal gowns are a direct reflection of Sarah’s design philosophy that combines timeless romanticism and enduring elegance while capturing the spirit of old world charm and the essence of today. Sarah designs each dress with its own unique story of love, beauty and romance.
I find France a bubbling inspiration pot with scenery, architecture, history, fashion and couture and culture, so I was keen to find out from Sarah about her french inspiration:
“The love I have for the country definitely inspires me, not to mention whenever, I go there I never want to come home.
In this seasons collection “Vineyard” was inspired from the south of France. I was in Argelès watching the waves gently ripple on the shore which is what gave me the idea for the bottom of the dress.
The design is bias bands done in a specially developed fabric designed to ripple when you walk. The name was given from the Vineyards that we visited during our travels. Far too much red wine that holiday…lol!
The beaded belt that accompanies the dress was inspired from my walks through Paris photographing filigree. I can tell you after taking 400 photos of balconies my husband was not amused.”
I am delighted to introduce the other dresses from the Sarah Houston 2012 Bridal Collection:
I love the variety of necklines and waistline embellishments to accentuate the waist. However it is the mixture of simply elegant silhouettes mixed with soft fabrics that really caught my eye, showing your wedding dress can be soft and romantic and stylish.
