Provence wedding at Chateau les Oliviers des Salettes

Welcome to a brand new week on French Wedding Style and we are starting with a beautiful Provence wedding at Chateau les Oliviers des Salettes organised by the lovely Laura Dova Weddings and captured by Leo Skachkov Photography.

Leo from Leo Skachkov Photography takes us through the day: “It was a beautiful sunny day in Provence. It was a late morning. The groom was having breakfast with friends at the pool and the bride was having breakfast while getting ready for the ceremony surrounded by Maids of Honour.

The preparations were happening in the luxurious hotel located in one of the watch towers of the ancient castle. The guests arrived for the celebration two days before the wedding. During the day they enjoyed the tours to the lavenders’ fields, small wineries, and local cheese makers for tastings.

Around noon the bride was almost ready to walk down the aisle. Modest, not too bright makeup was done beautifully and natural looking. All was left is to put on the dress and wait for the guests to take their seats. The ceremony began. In the alley in front of the castle Anton stood in front of the guests waiting for his bride. Guests were sitting on white chairs decorated with fresh flowers.

Everyone’s held their breath when the bride walked down the aisle. The groom turned to face her – his future wife to be. She walked hand in hand with her father. They exchanged their vows in front of the witnesses, close family members and friends. They exchanged the rings and said “yes” to each other! The guests applaused to the newlyweds.

After walking the guests to the reception to enjoy refreshments and cocktails. The newlyweds could not wait any longer for their honeymoon. They left the castle before sunset on their vintage Porsche and headed towards lavender fields and vineyards. They watched romantic sunset. Everything way perfect. Soft rays of sun, lavender, and two people whose love was endless for each other. Wonderful dinner and first dance was waiting the newlyweds upon returning back to the castle.”
