Finishing off the working week with a second post today as we peek inside Stéphanie and Nicolas’ french wedding in Pays de la Loire region of France. If you have been wondering what the differences are in a traditional French wedding, they today’s wedding film peak inside Stéphanie and Nicolas’ wedding will show you the similarities and differences. The couple who are both from Bouin now live in Paris, but as per tradition the wedding takes place in the “commune” of where the bride comes from.
Bouin is a town on the Vendeen cost, where the civil ceremony as held at the Mairie in Bouin and the ceremony in a local church and the Vin d’honneur also took place in Bouin. The reception was at the Salle Les Ormeaux at Sallertaine – 20 minutes from Bouin.
Matthias Guerin who captured the day said: “The day started at 06h45 with the bride’s appointment at the hairdresser, followed by make-up, before going back to her parent’s house in Bouin to put on her bridal gown. The groom got ready at his parents house also in Bouin. The civil ceremony and the mess both took place the morning. The couple used a vintage scooter to arrive at the Mairie and to go to the church after the civil ceremony.”
What a great way to arrive at the wedding on a retro scooter, fun and you don’t have to worry about cramming yourself into a car that will wrinkle your dress!

I am trying to find as much info as possible about French weddings. My son is engaged to a French girl and the wedding will be in France. I would like to understand who pays for what and anything else that would be useful.
