Neon Wedding in Dordogne France

Be ready to be dazzled in a bright neon wedding in Dordogne planned by Createmotions at the beautiful wedding venue, Chateau de Lacoste.

Living in Paris, Delphine & Christophe wanted to get married in Dordogne near Sarlat, so they picked Château de Lacoste in Castelnaud La Chapelle, a wonderful château, surrounded by beautiful gardens and offering an exceptional panoramic view of the Dordogne valley.

Lise from Createmotions takes us through their big day: “Delphine and Christophe contacted us in February , a few months before their wedding date. They had already chosen the venue, but needed help in designing, planning, decorating and coordinating their wedding in Dordogne.

They wanted to add a contemporary note to a very traditional wedding and Delphine, the bride, specifically asked for Neon…and Neon it was!

The main colors of the wedding were white with yellow and pink neon notes here and there.

The wedding ceremony took place at the Sarlat Cathedrale on a sunny June afternoon, followed by a cocktail reception in the beautiful gardens of the Château de Lacoste. Kids were entertained in a wonderful garden playground while the guests enjoyed the cocktail, candy bar and a medieval quartet in the gardens.

We brought a modern twist to this traditional venue by adding arty accessories and furniture such as designer Teo Jasmin accessories and we fully customized neon objects that we added as centerpieces on each table. You would find a book, the Eiffel Tower, a rabbit, shoes, a salamander and candelabras, a cat, dinosaur, on each table, that guests would take back with them as a souvenir. The wedding favors were small coffee mugs with colored and customized M&M’s.

The bride was wearing a Max Chaoul dress with Miu Miu glitter shoes and as soon as the were happily wed, they drove out to the Château in their vintage white car with colorful Ray Ban sunglasses. They wanted to arrive first at the Château to welcome their 250 guests upon their arrival.

Their friends surprised them throughout the evening with numerous speeches as well as choreographies. They partied till early in the morning on the sounds of the DJ as well as gipsy singers and the guests enjoyed beautiful fireworks around midnight.”
