We all have that special something that is extra important to splash out on on our wedding day. For some it is wine, food or the band but for me and many others it was all about the flowers. In the age of the internet and especially Instagram and Pinterest we are bombarded with fabulous imagery from real life weddings, styled shoots and of course celebrity weddings and couples are becoming more discerning about the flower varieties and styles they like.

Wedding flowers are now more than just a basic decoration for the tables and bridal party , they are the star of the show. Clients are choosing to go large with their floral designs and with their floral budgets. Luxury wedding flowers are hot at the moment and are set to be for the next few years, so if power florals are your thing where do you need to start with your planning.
Well the first thing to do is find your florist.

Does your preferred florist have a good portfolio ? have they experience in creating large and fabulous florals ? if the answer to these questions is a big yes then it’s time to draw up your realistic budget and also what areas you would like to go all floral with and arrange a meeting and site visit with your ideal florist. At this meeting your florist will give you an idea if your budget and ideas correspond and if so then you can start creating a fabulous floral vision together.
Now fabulous luxury florals aren’t cheap and are not for the faint hearted, a rough price for a modest luxury floral fest would start from around 8000€. For a florist going big involves extra florists, extra workspace and extra vehicles so all of these things need accounting for before a single flower is touched. The event will have many hours of pre planning and days of actual floristry and flower preparation before the wedding.

The installation and set up on the day is a precise and calculated maneuver by a team of florists with one aim ….to flower up your wedding day and when all the hard work is done it is time to enjoy an amazing fairytale day with your friends and family and it doesn’t have to end there , you have years to come to enjoy them in your wedding photographs.
