Happy Monday folks, kicking this week off we have some dreamy film photography to share with you from talented photographer Valéry Villard from her light blue inspired Avignon wedding styled shoot!
Avignon is a city in southeastern France’s Provence region and is set on the Rhône River and perfectly situated near Marseille airport for your destination wedding!
Today’s light blue inspired shoot was held at Domaine Les Roullets, a boutique bed and breakfast, self-catering cottage and vineyard located in the golden triangle of Provence. It boasts breath-taking views of the nearby Luberon mountains and is only a short drive from the picturesque hilltop villages of Gordes, Bonnieux, Ménerbes and Roussillon.
We love the Mediterranean feel of this shoot, the elegant yet relaxed fun vibe makes for the perfect combination for a wedding celebration. You’ll want to have your Pinterest boards at these ready for the swoon worthy details…
“I am a French Wedding photographer located near Avignon in Provence (at L’Isle sur la sorgue precisely) and I wanted to show you a styled wedding shooting that I created around a Dolce Vita thematic. I’m a big lover of the “Italian way of life” , their artistic side, the sweetness of doing nothing, appreciating life and just spending some good times relaxing, riding an old car, hair in the wind to drink the best coffee and cocktails in the most picturesque villages with family, friends and neighbours.”
“But you don’t need to be in Italy to feel this typical Mediterranean way of life, you can absolutely find it in Provence ! And that’s what I wanted to show in this styled shoot dear to my heart. Here in Provence you could find some people with a deeply warm heart in incredibly charming villages like the one we choose: Oppède le Vieux.”
“That special day began in the Domaine les Roullets with our bride Giulia (Model: Louise Amsi) relaxing in her Cleophina nightie with a cup of tea and macarons. Then she took a little sunbathe in the olive tree field before putting on her Lie Dil dress and some accessories from So Hélo.”
“The global idea was to put every single detail of our dream Italian wedding in Provence, like old Vespas & Fiat 500, Typical Ice cream “Gelateria booth”, high end bruschettas, etc.”
Her husband Gabriele (Model: Sébastien Federici) came across the village of Oppède le Vieux driving his blue Fiat 500, to meet all the guests and start the procession to the venue where Giulia is waiting for him. The procession arrived and Giulia & Gabriele discover themselves smartly dressed for their big day. They are now ready for the laic ceremony under the big old oak, where Emmanuele the officiant is waiting for them. Of course, they said yes and their family and friends were there to celebrate it by their side.
“Everyone then enjoyed the venue’s wine and some ice creams before the wedding dinner part. Candlelit, the guests sat down around the table gently decorated, and the chef Damien presented to them some incredible Bruschettas and a delicious Peach soup. to finish brilliantly that special day, an amazing wedding cake to die for, prepared by the talented Made In Cake.”
“All these pictures are film photography, scanned by Richard Photo Lab. We wanted to offer lot’s of wonderful inspiration so we hope that you will like it as much as us!”
