Join the French crepes revolution

Currently based in the UK, I was reading about a southern wedding fayre when something caught my eye – The French Revolution.  It wasn’t the just the words that stood out for me and I love to find suppliers offering French wedding fare, but the delicious looking French crepes and galettes next to it, that had me immediately wanting to find out more.

So a little bit of research and emails later and owner Arnold filled me in all about Lui (the cute Crepe van) and The French Revolution happening down in Brighton!

Judy and Arnold have a love of France and whilst running A Lot of Gaul, French shop in the Brighton North Laines (known as the Tintin shop locally), Judy purchased a couple of burners (crepieres) whilst in France. After practicing and honing their technique for a few years, they decided to take the crepes and galettes out onto the road in 2003.

Following the university’s decision to close the independent cafes, the duo then launched the Hub cafe at Ovingdean Hall College.

Then along came Lui, a classic blue 1976 Citroen H-van devoted to providing nutritious, tasty made-to-order galettes and crepes!
