Greenery Inspired Chateau Lagorce Wedding

Hello lovelies and welcome to another festive week here at French Wedding Style! Today we are heading to a fairytale French Chateau near Bordeaux and the Dordogne for our greenery inspired Chateau Lagorce wedding!

Our lovely bride and groom Jacquelyn and Julien planned a beautiful outdoor celebration for their nuptials in France with the help of not one but two talented FWS vendors!

FWS vendors, Clémentine and Mark from Awardweddings are showcasing a wedding they planned, photographed and filmed in Bordeaux for Jacquelyn and Julien, our Franco-Australian couple. “We are a husband and wife team. Clémentine is the organiser, she plans weddings for foreign couples wanting to get married in France, and she also manages all the Awardweddings bookings. Mark is the artist, he photographs and films weddings. “

Jacquelyn and Julien contacted Clémentine to help them organize their wedding. With Julien having grown up in the Medoc region, the couple wanted a venue near Bordeaux. After visiting several places, they settled on the magnificent Chateau Lagorce for an August wedding that we are thrilled to share with you…

“We love working together with the couples as we provide such important parts of their day, it’s wonderful to have a full vision on the event. Being so close to the planning of the day and knowing the couple from the beginning enables Mark to capture the day in all its meaning as he really understands every detail involved. The couple can really appreciate this and feel fully at ease with us.”

Bride & Groom: “Thank you both for everything you did to make our wedding the amazing day that it was! It was really incredible for us to know that you were taking care of everything and the end result was just magnificent!! We had an absolutely beautiful day.”

“The celebrations started with an outdoor ceremony by the river, decorated with foliage and white flowers. The bride made a grand entrance walking on a bed of white petals. The celebrant conducted a personal and meaningful ceremony.”

“The couple and their guests then enjoyed a cocktail reception on one of the Chateau’s terraces, with a live trio from Dj Dream Event. The couple wanted a comfortable atmosphere and created several seating areas on the lawn. The terrace was decorated with garlands of foliage above the terrace.”

“The dinner took place just outside the Chateau. More garlands of foliage and white flowers were suspended above the tables. The tables had big silver chandeliers and candles that the couple had made specifically for their guests. Musicians were playing during dinner and contributed to a great atmosphere. The dinner ended with a beautiful wedding cake tailored made by Wooden Spoon by Cora-Lee.”

“The couple had their first dance on the orangery terrace under the foliage garlands and fairy lights. Just after this, they surprised their guests with impressive fireworks and the party carried on with live music. A whiskey bar was also set-up for the evening.”

“As more and more couples are now doing, Jacquelyn and Julien chose to record their day on photography and film. Both work really well together to have a complete and live recording of the day. Mark would always advise to hire photo and video teams who know each other’s way of working and will therefore work well together. Booking a supplier that provides both will guarantee that the photographer and cameraman can work hand in hand without competing for the shots.”
