Happy Friday folks! We’re ending the week on a high with this dreamy Gordes intimate summer anniversary cocktail party. Do you have an up and coming wedding anniversary to plan? If so take some lovely inspiration from our gorgeous couple who know exactly how to throw a party.
We just love everything about their celebration from their chic outfits to all their garden party decor and what better place to be than on the French Riviera. If you’ve never been to this part of France before you must go here and check out our wanderlust post and head off on a road trip to explore the breathtaking French Riviera on the Mediterranean coast of south eastern France.
We will now pass you over to talented photographer Trynh Photography who will be walking us through this pretty Gordes couple shoot and garden cocktail party…
“Stephanie & Tom are a duo of destination wedding specialists based on the French Riviera. While really smitten by the easy breezy lifestyle, breathtaking landscapes and iconic architecture of the Cote d’Azur, they left their heart in the Luberon region where they spent several months a few years back, upon their return from the United States.”
“To them, there is nothing comparable to the slower pace of life and atmosphere of the area, not to mention the exceptional gastronomy and seemingly eternal sunshine.”
“They chose to celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary in the postcard village of Gordes, world-renowned for its cobblestone streets and lovely ancient mansions. They hosted an intimate summer cocktail party on the terraced gardens of Palais Saint Firmin, a listed historic building from the Renaissance, privately owned by Countess Anne Morand.”
“With their panoramic vistas over the Luberon valley and several levels of lined olive topiary, lavender and Provencal shrubs, Saint Firmin’s gardens were the perfect setting for an elegant, modern Mediterranean-inspired fiesta.”
“Stephanie & Tom’s color palette included warm terracotta tones, shades of blue and camel, as well as hues of yellow, orange and brown to echo the colors of Provence and those of the site’s architecture. They incorporated Mosaic tiles to their tabletop as well as tints of copper and black for the modern touch. For their stationery, Nice Plume calligrapher crafted their menu and signs from linen canvas dyed in a warm blue tone.”
“Floral artist and friend Julie Guittard created a beautiful centerpiece for the table with peonies, roses, lisianthus, gramineas, carrot flowers, eucalyptus and ruscus. Buffet tables were adorned with arrangements of similar flowers and also included foxtail lilies and hortensias.”
“Stephanie & Tom’s guests enjoyed the hot summer night relaxing and mingling to the sound of Orange Trio, an acoustic band who played a selection of rock, pop, folk and jazz covers.”
“After enjoying a typical Provencal finger food menu catered by Brunet Frères and savoring champagne & natural wines handpicked by Sommelier Romain Forini, they all gathered around the pool where Betty Boop B&W cartoons and Buster Keaton’s “Seven Chances” (1925) were projected on a white screen.” For even more wedding anniversary inspiration check out this dreamy lavender field anniversary in Provence!

Outstanding! And what a beautiful couple. While our base is the coastal Var near Roquebrune sur Argens, we, too, have a love affaire with the Vaucluse and love to conduct weddings and vow renewals there.
Trynh’s atmospheric photography and Brunet Frères’ mouth-watering food showcase the style of celebration you can achieve in this glorious region.
And happy anniversary, Stephanie and Tom!
