Le Jardin d’Èze meets Los Angeles, California Inspired Shoot. Envision an exotic garden off the French Riviera replete with unique botanicals like cactus, succulents, and blooms spanning a stunning property in the south of France called Le Jardin d’Èze. It an exotic botanical garden in Nice. In Los Angeles, The Stonehurst is akin in composition and beauty to its famous French counterpart. The Stonehurst’s impressive landscape drives the story of Ava and Beau: she is from Los Angeles and he is from Nice. Ava and Beau shared their first date at Le Jardin d’Èze while she was studying abroad. True to form and a classic romantic, he wanted to inspire his muse with his culture’s rich history. Of course, she fell in love with Beau and the garden. From then on, their relationship blossomed. They became an exclusive couple and then engaged. Once wedding planning commenced they wanted a venue that transported them in time. Naturally, it would have to be reflective of Èze where they exchanged their first kiss and sparked their relationship. This styled shoot is inspired by the eclectic nature of the famous Le Jardin d’Èze created post-World War II upon the ruins of a château, but met with a chic, modern LA vibe.

Princess Jewelers LA crafted their rings in rose gold; a fresh and modern take on wedding bands for the design-forward couple.

The Stonehurst boasts a mix of modern and vintage architecture and landscape like the greenhouse, a craftsman bungalow, a 100 year old rustic barn and a cactus deck in the garden similar to Èze. Its history only speaks to its stability, permanence, and beauty just like Le Jardin d’Èze which is why it was a perfect fit for Ava and Beau. Amy Haberland Photography expertly and gracefully captured the shoot, property, our couple, and all the details with her trained cinematic eye.

The production was elegantly designed and curated by Provenance Rentals with a bevy of specialty rentals for the uber chic lounge, bar area, dessert table, ceremony, bridal suite, and reception. Every detail carried authentic French undertones from the botanical garden to the menus to the wardrobe to the crêpe truck by Black Flour Crepes with a light-up marquee, a French food truck owned and operated by a blended French-American family.

A perfect way to enjoy the party was with champagne at the bar area and chatting in the eclectic chic lounge which showcased a modern pink chesterfield sofa, fun pillows, and lots of French furniture which juxtaposed modern and vintage. Dessert was served at a delicate French writing desk. Sugar Studio crafted a macaron cake in the color pallette, or a piéce monté.

A wedding would not look complete without gorgeous flowers in the couples’ color palette. Bloom Theory Design artfully executed the floral design. Not only did they craft a stunning bouquet and boutonnière, they also created a smaller personal bouquet for the adorable flower girl, Pearline. She is also French and speaks the language fluently at the ripe old age of eight.

Ava and Beau were dressed for the perfect summer wedding. Ava’s ensemble was showstopping including her billowy, romantic French-inspired layered ruffled silhouette by Madeleine Fig with off-the-shoulder sleeves exposing her radiant shoulders, along with a high-end ethereal veil by Julie Harris Designs, and handmade ostrich feather designer handbag by Cloe Noel Designs. She looked like something out of a dream, Ava also donned a stunning high-low reception dress in cream by Madeleine Fig with a relaxed, but polished hairstyle and jeweled headpiece also by Julie Harris Designs. Beau looked dapper in a light grey suit and accessories from Friar Tux. They both, along with Pearline, were expertly made up and coiffed by Despina Scandalis Beauty and Lio Ramirez Hair showing how stylish this couple was.

The fun really started at the reception. Stunning gold chairs by La Pinata Party Rentals enhanced the reception table giving it that je ne sais quoi along with their tabletop décor in pink, ivory and grey, and gorgeous dove grey linen napkins and a cascading runner by Luxe Linen emanating a sense of quality and elegance. The sweetheart table and reception table were both handcrafted and repurposed vintage farm tables by Provenance Rentals along with the special touch of a French provincial sofa and a delicate pink rug. Blooms adorned the tables as well as candles creating a romantic, al fresco atmosphere. The place cards were made from marble arabesque tiles, which are also woven into the dessert table.
