Good Morning from a rather miserable Southern England. Today I have the real life Chateau wedding Normandy of Danielle and Rob to share with you, captured by fine art photographer Lorenzo Ali. Based in the UK, Danielle and Rob choose Chateau Chevallerie, belonging to the brides parents, as the setting for their wedding and celebrations for 120 guests.
The wedding celebrations started the night before at a Brasserie called Le Pouce in Alençon, before the main celebrations the following day with family members creating and providing a lot of the decoration and catering themselves.
Lorenzo talks us through the day: “As it persisted with rain back in London I was privileged to spend the weekend in blistering heat photographing a stunning wedding in the Normandy region of France just down the road from Le Mans. Chateau Chevallerie, once the home of King Louis XV’s Geographer (Jean-Baptiste Bourguignon d’Anville) set the scene as an amazing shabby chic venue in Arçonnay. The catholic wedding ceremony took place at Eglise St Leonard in Alençon and the Bride and Groom were transported back to the reception in an Excalibur Series II Roadster. ”
Chateau Chevallerie really does live up to the dream of a fairytale wedding in a french Chateau and the grounds are just enchanting! Thank you to Lorenzo Ali for submitting the wedding and many happy years ahead to Danielle and Rob.
