Summer Chateau de la Beuvrière Wedding

Summer is well on its way (we are so happy!) and to celebrate we have a Summer Chateau de la Beuvrière wedding to share with you!

This gorgeous French Chateau, set in the beautiful countryside in the Loire Valley, was the perfect backdrop to Heather and Matt’s big day. Not only is the grandeur of the castle just perfect for a destination wedding in France but they could also marry on the Chateaux island (Sound amazing? Wait till you see the riverside ceremony images below).

Each detail was perfectly planned by And Then We Got Married and styled by our bride Heather and Love, Coralberry. We just love Heather’s elegant gown and her perfect choice of gorgeous sparkling Rose for their champagne tower, doesn’t that sound perfect, pretty, delicious and pink!

We will now pass you over to wedding planners And Then We Got Married who will be walking us through this Chateau de la Beuvrière Wedding…Loire Chateau wedding

“Heather and Matt fell in love with their wedding venue the moment they saw it, back in the Summer of 2015. The spectacular Loire Chateau really is a castle fit for a fairytale and they knew they just couldn’t get married anywhere else!”Summer Chateau de la Beuvrière Wedding Chateau de la Beuvrière real wedding

“They brought us on board in the Autumn, when they were struggling with the language and cultural barrier of planning a destination wedding in France. They had some elements in place so we helped them to finalise certain areas, alongside organising the remaining essentials.”bridesmaid glasses bridesmaid getting ready robes Love, Coralberry wedding stylist elegant bridal dress

“Styling became a priority quite quickly. When Heather realised we work closely with Guillaume at Love, Coralberry – Fance’s n°1 event designer – it was like a match made in heaven!”Chateau de la Beuvrière wedding day elegant chateau wedding mother of the bride outfit island wedding france

“Fast forward to 23rd July 2016, a beautiful Summer’s day in the Loire Valley. The ceremony was taking place on an island in the grounds (yes, really!). We placed an empty wine barrel at the bridge to the island with a beautiful wine box floral display from our talented florist Faith, at Le Coeur Sauvage. Faith created the perfect florals to suit the venue and also Heather and Matt’s tastes.”wedding arch wedding guests ceremony

“The venue then provided a flower arch the other side of the bridge, welcoming you on to the island, followed by another barrel with wine box floral display plus crates with candles and other decorative pieces at the start of the aisle.”Summer Chateau Wedding river side wedding ceremony

“Heather’s sister in law had handmade beautiful painted wooden hearts on sticks which she painstakingly placed at the base of the trees in the walk to the ceremony, adding another little touch of style!”ceremony details Summer French Wedding

“The ceremony took place at the edge of the island, overlooking the lake. It is such a magical spot and was all the more special thanks to the moving ceremony officiated by Christine from Celebrants In France.”outdoor french wedding ceremony Countryside wedding venue“Next came the first of Heather and Matt’s two surprises, which they’d kept secret from even their families – our fabulous accordionist, Jacques – hiding under the trees on the other side of the bridge, providing a wonderfully French soundtrack to the walk back to the chateau for the canapé reception from the moment the newly weds cut the ribbon to allow their guests to return to the mainland!”river side wedding photos marquee hire france

“On their return to the chateau, we had prepared a tower of champagne coupes, with a delicious Loire sparkling rosé which Heather and Matt had selected with us and their family at the vineyard itself during their planning visit earlier in the year. Another surprise which went down fabulously with guests, who know Heather well for her love of sparkling rosé!” chalk board menu wedding And Then We Got Married

“The dinner took place in a marquee, overlooking the lake. Heather worked hard with us and Love, Coralberry on the table design, using gorgeous tall candelabras as centrepieces, around which Guillaume wove ivy from the chateau gardens. Alongside these were beautiful floral displays from Faith and chunky glass tea light holders. The overall effect was perfect.”marquee wedding france pink champagne wedding tower family portraits wedding

“A highlight of the day was one of Matt’s talented best men giving a fabulous best man’s speech in the way of a song, composed especially for the occasion. We secretly hired a keyboard and set it up, only to discover both Matt and Heather were keeping the same secret – from each other!”chateau wedding France dancing shoes flip flops wedding

“Following dinner, the party took place on the terrace overlooking the lake. First came the cutting of the stacked ‘cheese cake’, followed by the first dance. You couldn’t ask for a more magical setting.”evening first dance

Congratulations Heather and Matt from everyone here at French Wedding Style!
