If you have the post festive season blues, then this blue and white styled St Tropez wedding will have you booking your South of France holiday tout suite! Jennifer and Emmanuel treated their guests to a wedding of 3 courses starting with a rehearsal dinner, a beautiful Provence wedding day and then brunch the following day by the castle pool, all arranged by the Wedding Angels.
Over to the Angels: “Jennifer and Emmanuel celebrated their wedding over four days, the civil ceremony taking place in a quaint village near Saint Tropez, the rehearsal dinner at a typical restaurant on the main square of Cotignac close to the château, the wedding at the lovely Château Robernier in Provence and the brunch by the castle pool.
They spent a week making the most of the castle with their 30 of their close relatives before celebrating with 100 guests on their special day. Jennifer is Chinese and Emmanuel is half French half Greek so they wished to mix their cultures so that their wedding reflected who they really were.aphy
For the rehearsal dinner, they wanted something very simple, French and authentic. They chose to have dinner at the Table de la Fontaine on the main square of the village of Cotignac which is one of the most beautiful villages of France. The atmosphere was convivial. An accordionist played French classics while giving out red and pink roses to all the women guests.
The wedding day was a beautiful sunny Saturday in July. Jennifer and Emmanuel held a symbolic ceremony in front of the château facing the beautiful gardens and fountains. The ceremony was inspired by traditional greek orthodox customs.
The decoration was true to a Provençal / Chinese theme. The two ideas mixed so well : Chinese blue patterned vases with beautiful blooms, pretty Chinese bowls were used as votives, a farm house style frame was held the table names and a sprig of olive tree was set at each guests places tied with royal blue ribbon. To complement the theme and dot around the castle furniture, Jennifer’s mother had made cushion covers with a blue and white French country pattern.
A typical French style band played a variety of music while guests sipped rosé wine at the cocktail. Jennifer and Emmanuel wanted to initiate their guests to Provence Rosé wine offering a selection of five different wines to taste. A friend of theirs went around the guests explaining the tasting and differences between each wine.
Dinner was held in the courtyard of the Château. During the dinner a live band played a mix of international standards. The wedding cake fitted in with the theme with a delicate plum blossom design painted onto the sides climbing up the the four tiers.
Then the guests danced the night away under the stars…
The following day guests were invited to Brunch by the castle pool.”
The blue and white colour scheme is just divine, so fresh and elegant and the guests at all three wedding events look like they are having so much fun. This is definitely wedding celebrations that I would have loved to have attended.
What do you think about holding more than one wedding ‘event’ for your guests?
