Belle Bride Tracey – The Big Day

stop for photos

It’s always quite emotional when we say farewell to a Belle Bride, as it feels that we’ve been by their side during their planning journey all the way through to the Big day itself. But on the positive side – we get to see all the fantastic images and see how everything has come together!

So for the last time, let’s catch up with Belle Bride Tracey as we welcome her back to recount her big day:

I feared to dream that our wedding would be so incredible!

Crazy, unorganized, chaotic, and stressful whirlwind

Yes, on one side it was a crazy, unorganized, chaotic, and stressful whirlwind. It was over in the blink of an eye and didn’t go quite smoothly as imagined, but it was more than we could have ever dreamed.

There’s something so special and unforgettable about seeing all your friends and family in one place, and witnessing the first-time experiences of your family as they are so brilliantly welcomed in their first overseas trip.

Overseas Trip

My husband is the best person in the entire world.

My husband is the best person in the entire world. When I was so stressed out and tired from the jet lag that my skin was at its worst, he let me sleep the night before the wedding (incredible I slept) until after 10am. When I woke up panicked, he and my father-in-law had already met the florist and prepared the reception area!

Getting ready I was so nervous that I mostly paced and posed – for the “getting ready” photographs. Panic ensued from the photographer because Thomas didn’t know how to tie a bowtie, and they couldn’t find anyone that could. Thomas had to come in my room with his eyes closed, while my father-in-law held up instructions on the iPhone on how to tie a bowtie.

In the backseat of his vintage Citroen DS playing jazz music

When Thomas and my mom were whisked away to the chapel, Thomas’s uncle showed up in a white top hat to take my dad and I to the chapel in the backseat of his vintage Citroen DS playing jazz music from the 20’s! It couldn’t have been more dreamy and romantic, like we were stepping back in time.

Walking in to the chapel, the feeling was intensified by seeing friends and family we haven’t seen in over a year, the music of the quartet, walking with my dad… I fought back tears it was all so beautiful.

Leaving The Wedding

We took some pictures with the photographer on the way back by the river before heading to the cocktail. I was so hungry, and one of the caterers brought over an assortment plate of food for us. Before we could get a bite though, we were dragged over to take photos haha!

Wedding Car

As it was getting dusk, my father-in-law called everyone into the reception room for dinner and the magic show. He had hired a magician that was also a neighbor, that had also been married at the same white wedding chapel in Las Vegas as us!

Table setting

Some of the really special moments for us before hitting the dance floor was the speeches of our witnesses Victor and Alena. Our friend Lauranne had reached out to everyone on our guest list to submit a video where they catch a piece of paper from the last, open it for us to read and then throw it to the next. It was so cute and so special! As if that wasn’t enough joy for us, our friend Carole also prepared this hilarious song parody sang by the group to Black Eyed Pea’s I’ve Got a Feeling – but with our names. 😀

Wedding Quartet

We then danced till 5am (thanks to the Josh of Vintage Vinyl events for agreeing to keep us dancing till the early hours of the morning) and then got up by 11am to prepare the reception area for brunch. So in short, it was insanely fun for us and I hope for everyone else that was there! A lot of friends and family members said it was an event filled with a lot of love, and that’s what we were hoping to hear.
