YolanCris Wedding Dress – Lumière Collection

Browsing through a copy of Marions-Nous french bridal magazine I came across a a beautiful chic lace wedding dress and I had to find out more about the designer YolanCris wedding dress.

At the heart and soul of YolanCris are two sisters Yolanda and Cristina who come from a family heritage within the bridal industry. Herself a pioneer in bridal fasion, their mother instilled in them a passion for bridal design mised with a love of creating magical wedding dresses.  YolanCris haute-couture was created in 2005 and they launched their first collection and in 2006 they presented it at the Pasarela Gaudi Novias, within the great international fair Barcelona Bridal Week, creating what is now recognized as a leading haute couture brand in wedding dresses and evening wear.

One collection in particular really caught my eye  – Lumière.  At the beginning of the last century, the brothers Lumière created the first cinematograph.  With this innovative and original idea they have become poineers in what today is know as the seventh art form.  The mute cinema, the jazz music of the 20’s, the Bohemian way of life and vintage, inspired by the classics, the preference for the new, originality and innovation fill up this collection with extradinary creations based on the mixtures of patchwork with crochet, macrame, applications of wood, nets and lace.
