No need to feel the negative impact of hump day, as today we are sharing Francesca and Conleth’s Summer wedding in the Alps planned by Haute Weddings. The romantic couple decided on an intimate ceremony on one of the highest peaks in the Alps : the Aiguille du Midi !!! They whisked up their closest family via cable car to 3842meters under bright blue skies and overlooking cascading glaciers and snow-covered peaks.
Not only did the couple plan a beautifully romantic wedding, but they also managed to capture the essence of thrill seekers who visit Chamonix, with a paragliding session the next day!
Chamonix based planners Haute Weddings, take us through the big day: “The fall weather was glorious and guests wore summer dresses with hiking boots! Francesca wore a stunning, very detailed dress with the finishing touch being her hot pink customized Nike tennis shoes reading Mrs. Totten on them! Conleth also had a fun pair of bright blue Nike’s peaking out from under his slacks!
As the couple exchanged their vows with the Mont-Blanc in the background the traditional melodies of an alphorn player carried up to the heavens. Mountaineers with ropes, ice axes, crampons and dreams of conquering the nearby mountains were part of the authentic ambiance of this altitude wedding. And just before the bride was to walk down the aisle 3 wingsuit jumpers dove off a cliffside!! The adrenaline of the Chamonix valley, the power of the mountains, and the unparalleled beauty definitely left an imprint on Francesca & Conleth’s family!
Before heading back down the mountain the guests had a champagne toast and of course a few photos with some of the most stunning scenery in France. Once down in Chamonix they indulged in scrumptious pastries and cakes before meandering into town for a traditional Savoyard meal.
But, it wasn’t over yet! The following day Francesca & Conleth incorporated their own adrenaline into the wedding weekend by going paragliding…. in their wedding attire!!! Francesca wore her dress, Conleth put his suit back on, and the couple jumped off the side of the mountain to soar high above the valley floor in total bliss and euphoria!
This simple, yet intense wedding weekend was a true reflection of this couple’s personality and passion. They were able to share their love for each other in a place that their families would not have necessarily ventured to on their own!”
