Romantic Chateau de Mailly Real Wedding

Hello lovelies, we hope your week is going great! The cold weather has had us dreaming of warm French sunshine and clear blue skies. Today’s romantic Chateau de Mailly real wedding of wanderlust couple Sara and Tim is a real fairy tale including a touching outdoor ceremony.

This romantic affair includes a lace Monique Lhuillier gown and stunning photography by Urška & Domen which includes some gorgeous golden hour portraits. Our bride looked stunning in her fitted lace wedding dress along side her bridesmaids who wore pastel mismatched dresses.

“When we first got the email from Sara and Tim we couldn’t believe what a gorgeous location they’d chosen in beautiful Burgundy, France. Sara and Tim love travelling so a destination wedding was a no brainer for them when they were choosing the perfect location. They decided on the gorgeous Le Chateau de Mailly in the heart of Burgundy, France.”

“The venue has beautiful french architecture, pretty gardens and the most amazing views over the hills of Burgundy.”

“The day started in the afternoon with Sara and her bridesmaids getting ready in a beautiful stone covered suite. Sara and Tim wanted to keep their wedding intimate so they didn’t have a lot of vendors, just us the photographers and the catering team in the evening.”

“Sara did her own make up and hair and so did the bridesmaids. Sara choose a gorgeous lace wedding dress made by Monique Lhuillier and she got dressed with help from her mother and it was such a beautiful and emotional moment.”

“The ceremony setting was very simple, on the main lawn of the chateau with beautiful greenery in the background. Sara walked down the aisle to a song that Tim, the groom, wrote for her just for that moment. It was one of the most beautiful things we ever saw a groom do for his bride and it was so touching.”

“Sara’s brother in law officiated the ceremony and it was one of the most emotional ceremonies we ever photographed. We don’t think there was a dry eye!”

“After a cocktail hour on the terrace they took some time to have their portraits taken around the beautiful venue and we just loved capturing their chemistry and love.”

“The reception was held on the other terrace with views over Burgundy where the guests enjoyed dinner while listening to some old French music.”

“Soon after the dinner the guests accompanied the bride and groom with sparklers to the dance floor where they had such a beautiful and emotional first dance. And after that the party started!”
