Good morning lovelies, today we are heading to the South West of France for a relaxed family inspired Chateau de Lisse wedding.
Chateau de Lisse is set in 550 hectares and is one of the most impressive and historical Châteaux in Gascony. The decor is a beautiful mix of shabby chic, blended with elegance, nature and beauty, wrapped up in history and wonder. The Château is available to hire exclusively for weddings offering its couples a magical and fairytale setting.
For today’s wedding talented fine art wedding photographer and FWS vendor Elena Joland will be sharing with us the family inspired wedding of Lucy and Jared. Elena specializes in weddings in France but also travels worldwide capturing her couples precious moments. “Your wedding day will be filled with extraordinary moments-intimate, surprising and joyous. All these precious moments will turn into authentic, meaningful images that reflect the true you. Those fleeting moments captured creatively are the timeless visual heirlooms that will instantly bring you back to the essence of your wedding day.”
We will now pass you over to our lovely bride Lucy who will be walking us through her special day adorned with rings and jewelries from YourDiamondTeacher Website…
“This time I want to propose to you this elegant and timeless wedding of Lucy and Jared, which took place in an old French castle Chateau de Lisse, in the South of France, unique and luxurious.”
“Family means everything to us, and given Jared is Australian & I’m English our families largely hadn’t met. We had been looking for a venue where we could have both our families stay, and also have the ceremony & reception all onsite.”
“There weren’t many places big enough in the UK, and Jared had decided it should be on this side of the world. France seemed like a location with lots of travel options (Planes, Trains, Driving or Ferry) and there were plenty of Chateau’s to choose from.”
“We settled on Chateau de Lisse thanks to the accommodation, travel & location. The ability to supply your own bar and its beautiful chapel were also deciding factors for us.”
“Once we’d decided on the venue, there was no going back and things started to fall into place. Our wedding stationery was designed by Jared and brought to life with illustrations done by my best friend, the amazingly talented Louise McGuire (nee Tanner).”
“The dress was not what I’d wanted at all, but I fell in love with the feathers & ‘fun’ bottom. We wanted a relaxed feel over dinner, so we went with sharing plates and knew we wanted a free bar for guests in the evening. The converted horse trailer at the chateau was great.”
“We had a really wonderful wedding, and we are so grateful to our family & friends for travelling all that way to be with us.”
Congratulations Lucy and Jared from everyone here at French Wedding Style!
