A Paris wedding is always a good idea!

Whether  a big luxury wedding for 250 people or an intimate romantic wedding for 20, a Paris wedding is always a good idea!  And today’s real couple Lauren and Ronny shared in this, as they planned their wedding in Paris with the help of Fête in France and beautifully captured by Ian Holmes.

Ronny and Lauren’s love story really is a globe trotting one, Lauren from Minnesota and Ronny from the Netherlands – the couple met in a chance encounter in China. Their wedding is filled with styling details that I love from Fete in France, a bridal style that I am coveting (the lipstick and those Louboutin shoes) and the beautiful work of Ian Holmes, whom I have been a fan of for a number of years.

Nancy from wedding planners Fete in France takes us through their big day: ” Lauren and Ronny celebrated their marriage and the union of their two cultures in a lovely wedding in Paris.

The wedding was a happy harmony of American and Dutch traditions, with a dash of Chinese for good measure: the pastor from the bride’s hometown conducted a beautiful ceremony and guests were invited to join in singing the bride’s favorite hymn; Dutch guests lined up during the cocktail to personally present their gifts (many of which were charming DIY projects) to the bride and groom; bold red – a nod to the couple’s home base in China – was used throughout the decor design.”Paris sightsParis tour bus weddinglove Parissee Paris by bussights of Parispurple bridesmaids dressespurple bridal partyred bridal bouquet

Peaking behind the bridal curtain, Lauren shares the big day: “As we listened to our family and friends talk and laugh together, we realised this was going to be the only opportunity in our lives to spend time with everyone united in one place. The intimate setting of Maison des Polytechniciens, the open-top bus tour on a sunny September day, and the magnificent dinner setting, created the atmosphere of the city where we fell in love to share with our guests.

Together with Fête in France, we added intricate details that spoke to individuals to make the day a stunning occasion not just for us, but for everyone who came to celebrate.”
