Happy Monday to you and we are starting the week with a beautiful real wedding of March and Amy for their intimate wedding outside of Paris at Domaine des Acacias. The wedding was on a beautifully hot summers day and was captured by destination wedding photographer Freddy Fremond.
Amy is British, Marc is French. They live in London and work in a restaurant, that’s how the theme of their wedding was easily found : the wine !
Amy and Marc’s photographer Freddy Fremond takes us through the day: “ Amy and Marc chose a beautiful venue not far from Paris, in the small and beautiful village of Rochefort-en-Yvelines. I met them last year and I immediately knew that their wedding would be great. Amy had found my contact details right here on French Wedding Style Blog!
On their wedding day, it was very hot. The room where Amy was getting ready was under the roof of the gite so she even needed a fan. She was there with her mother and her bridesmaids. When I arrived, they were all having a glass of champagne, enjoying this moment. Everybody was relaxed. But when it was time for Amy to get dressed, stress appeared : yes, she was going to say « I do » to Marc, a few minutes later !
Before joining her father, who was waiting for her downstairs, Amy read the letter Marc had written for her (he had read his earlier). It was such a moving moment. I witnessed her tears and really felt the love she had for him.
Then it was time to go ! Amy’s father was really moved when he saw her. And what can I say about Marc, when he discovered his bride at the end of the aisle ? That’s what I love about wedding ceremonies : the emotions are so real and strong.
After the ceremony, we took a few minutes for the couple shots. I think Amy and Marc enjoyed this short but intense moment, away from their guests.
When we went back to the venue, Amy and Marc were welcomed by a surprise, prepared by Marc’s friends and family. A very funny moment !
The cocktail went on and it was time for the Dads to do their speech. Once again, it was a moving moment. It is something that I rarely see in French weddings and it’s a pity because I love listening to these speeches : Dads are often said to be reserved but in these moments, they are not afraid to show their love for their child.
Then it was time to start the dinner party. Amy and Marc had prepared a nice decoration on the theme of wine. A cask as a guest book, some corks for the name of the tables, some wood from wine cases for the seating arrangements board…
It was a very beautiful wedding and I thank Amy and Marc again for their trust !”
