Equestrian Wedding Inspiration in Dordogne Valley

Whether I am planning, styling or editing a wedding inspirational shoot, I always conjure the narrative that lies behind a shoot, and that is no different in today’s Equestrian Wedding Inspiration shoot in the Dordogne Valley.

For me the shoot features two star crossed lovers, who have escaped their city lives and fled to a romantic retreat in the Dordogne.  There in a tranquil and magical setting, they live in an enchanting rural Chateau where they can be surrounded by their second love, horses. Amongst the orchards and rolling valleys, they decide to celebrate their love with an intimate wedding, attended by their close family, friends and of course horses.

The shoot was planned by the team at Wedding au Chateau, also the location for the shoot, in the Dordgone Valley.

Christèle from Wedding au Chateau takes us through the shoot:  “There is no better moment that the softness of the Indian summer warming the Dordogne region and its early fall lights.

Let’s go off the beaten track with an equestrian wedding.  We choose decoration set in tune with the soothing atmosphere created by shades of natural and warm tones. Simple but refined dishes and furniture are brightened up with soft and pure floral touches. All of this creates a serene and welcoming bubble for a gorgeous and memorable country chic celebration.

Old porcelain, crystal glasses and finely chiseled flat silvers offer a real charm! Not to forget the vintage fine lace and silk dresses, the floral decoration splendidly imagined by our florist Helen.  The shoot was magically captured by fine wedding photographer Sylvain Harrison.”
