DIY woodland Pagan wedding in France

We all know that I love DIY especially for DIY weddings, so when Elly Mac sent over a DIY woodland Pagan wedding I sinfully skedaddled an email straight over to secure the real wedding to feature on French Wedding Style.

Emilie and Damien got married in the French village of Nangis outside of Paris with 140 of their closest friends and family.  The wedding was a family DIY collaboration with Emilie’s dress being made by her Grandmother, family and friends helping with everything from the table decorations to the hand made origami paper cranes and the catering and flowers.

Starting the celebrations off in the traditional way Emilie and Damien got married in Nangis town hall in the afternoon, before heading down to their Pagan themed woodland party.

The Pagan gods were obviously displeased with the couples traditional wedding ceremony as it rained all day, but this did not damped the spirits of the couple and their guests.  The couple had a Japanese formal reception dinner in honour of their honeymoon plans to ride motorcycles from Paris to Tokyo, which took them 5 months.  The celebrations were complete with a enigmatic display by a troupe of fire performers.
