Romantic Chateau Wedding South West France

chateau rigaud wedding Starting the week with a Chateau Wedding that is crammed with beautiful floral details by FWS Vendor Flowers in the Vines at the beautiful Chateau Riguad in South West France, captured by Chloé at Caught the Light.

Today’s couple Nicky and Stan, planned a romantic weekend wedding in South West France, that leaves me romanticising floral decorations and rustic chateaus.  The couple have expertly combined the traditional feel such as Stan’s attire and the dramatic vintage car, with whimsical romantic elements in their decoration.   I can’t not mention Nicky’s stunning Sassi Holford wedding dress,  that I LOVE mixing tradition with utter romance for a fairytale bridal ensemble.

A big thank you to Chloé at Caught the Light for sending in this beautiful submission with her dreamy images.

Bride Nicky takes us through their big day:  “I felt that the venue was magical and it captured every part of our four-day event that we wanted and the weekend went seamlessly.

We married seven years to the day of when we first met and it was so special for us as we wanted to give more to fewer, so we invited 72 guests. We wanted to represent a rustic French wedding which with the help of Sarah and Anna as well as all the staff at Chateau Rigaud, we were able to do. It was a fairytale wedding for us! The moment we found Rigaud we looked at each other and we knew this would be our venue as it felt perfect.

Flowers were important for us both and I was lucky to have such a hands-on fiancé and Heidi at Flowers in the Vines who just listened to all we had to say and she completely bowled us over with what she did. Heidi’s work is incredible and we just decided to go for it and have no regrets. I genuinely don’t think we compromised on anything as we were so happy with how it all went.

I would strongly recommend a photographer who is well recommended as Chloe was to us and she was utterly amazing and so professional – she knew our venue and all the guests rated her work, as with our videographers Reel Weddings, and we were not disappointed. I would say if you can have both do as it is so worth it!
