Château Pape Clément France Engagement Session

Happy Thursday lovelies today we are visiting the famous wine region of Bordeaux for the Château Pape Clément France engagement session of Milly and Julien who travelled all the way from Hong Kong for their France engagement session. Milly and Julien plan to get married in Bordeaux in April and wanted to have their engagement session in the same area at a different time of year. They chose to take advantage of the spring blooms to give their engagement images a different feel which was a great idea.

They chose one of France’s most famous and oldest wine estates for their engagement session, Château Pape Clément. The elegance and intimacy of the engagement session is clear to see and Milly looked beautiful in her Pronovias dress that perfectly suited the surroundings of this majestic Chateau. There to capture their France engagement session was talented wedding photographer Matthias Toth who will be taking us through Milly and Julien’s Château Pape Clément France engagement session…

“Milly and Julien, a chinese couple from Hong-Kong, wanted an engagement session in Bordeaux, the city of wine, they are getting married in next April, and they wanted a session in this beautiful area of France. They’ve been waiting until March for the return of the first flowers. For this session they thought about one of the most mythic places of the Bordeaux area, Château Pape Clément.”

“Château Pape Clément is an institution in France, one of the most famous French wineries. This is also a very majestic, elegant and intimate place. Milly and Julien wanted something simple and authentic, and mostly natural. This is the reason that guided their choice for the photographer, and eventually the work reached the height of their expectations.”

“Milly and Julien contacted the photographer Matthias Toth early to make sure they could get the best date for their engagement session, right after winter but before their wedding in April. The first meeting with Matthias took place in one of those typical café of Quartier Saint Paul in the historic downtown area of Bordeaux. They got along very well right away and Matthias immediately loved the idea of Château Pape Clément. There are obviously many domains in the Bordeaux area but there is only one like Pape Clément! The engagement session took place by the end of March in the late afternoon with very soft light, in the golden hour, that allowed us to get a warm and suave light.”

“The lovely couple walked in the domain’s garden and we started the session in the middle of the palm trees and others exotics plants, that offers a very different and unique atmosphere than others domains. And there we just let the simplicity of couple work. The photographer makes sure to capture all the little things, the looks, all the details that make the authenticity and intimacy of couple, which is very important in an engagement session. The sweetness and the joy, they just acted like they were all alone.”

“There was not much posing, this is not the style of the photographer, Milly and Julien are just talking and laughing while the photographer is walking around them to get the best camerawork as possible. Milly looked very elegant in her Pronovias dress, the palm trees surrounding her gave a very unique aspect to this portrait.”
