Boho Chic Palais du Tau Real Wedding

golden hour wedding photography

Hello lovelies and welcome to another wonderful week here at French Wedding Style. Firstly we hope you are enjoying a lovely bank holiday. May the 1st brings with it this Boho Chic Palais du Tau real wedding…

Our travel loving pair Anais and Maxime chose to say I do in the beautiful region of Champagne in the historic Palais du Tau which I’m sure you’ll agree from the pictures is stunning!

Our gorgeous bride wore a San Patrick gown and hair and make up artist Jean Baptiste Santens created an elegant up do which the bride later had transformed into a wavy boho style with a delicate floral crown for the evening.

We adore all the little boho chic inspired details found throughout their day, we especially love the gorgeous balloon release which took place just after their ceremony and the comfortable dancing shoes supplied for all their guests to enjoy an evening of dancing. I’ll now pass you over to Anais who will be walking us through her Palais du Tau Real Wedding…French Real Weddingsimple design wedding invite suite

“We met during our studies in Germany, 7 years before the wedding. A true international love story because Anaïs is French and Maxime is Swiss and Japanese. After we met in Germany we traveled a lot, and I finished my studies in New York while Maxime was in Switzerland. After 2 years traveling we decided to settle in Geneva.”getting ready bridal detailschampagne bridal morningbride and groom wedding pillow

“Maxime proposed in Japan 1 year before the wedding. This was my first time in his home country and it was magic. He organized everything and we went to a wonderful and typical Japanese resort, and after a private and romantic dinner in a Japanese house, he proposed in a fabulous private outdoor “onsen” (famous hot bath/spa in Japan) with the view on the city.”groom braces

“We decided to get married in Reims, where I was born. I am very attached to my region. We wanted to get married in the church where my parents and grandparents got married. And because we are Champagne producers, that was obvious to do the wedding in my region and celebrate with Champagne!”first look ideafirst look franceelegant wedding up doelegant countryside wedding

“We got married at Palais du Tau which is an historical French monument directly linked with Reims Cathedral. All the French Kings were sacred in the Palais du Tau. This monument is beautiful and you can feel the history. You are in the center of Reims but protected by private rooms and you have a beautiful garden behind the monument to take pictures.”lovely light church francecathedral wedding veilwedding gospel singersBeautiful church weddingnatural wedding confetti

“We wanted a Chic and Boheme wedding. Something floral, a mix of countryside and city, something that represent our lifestyle. We spent hours on Pinterest and with famous wedding magazines.”French vintage wedding carPalais du Tau Real Weddingchampagne wedding signwooden wedding sign

“I spent a lot of time on Pinterest and wedding blogs as many brides-to-be do! We have chosen a local wedding planner for the decoration, we chose our photographers and videographers through wedding blogs and just loved their pictures.”rustic table panwedding reception ideasfrench wedding venuepretty gold theme weddingrustic chic wedding stationaryChic and Boheme wedding

“Everything was magic. We loved our “first look” session in the vineyard where Maxime discovered my dress just before the church. All the details of the preparation morning were wonderful moments, getting dressed with my lovely bridesmaids, Maxime also enjoyed this time with his men. All the surprises from our friends and family were big moments. Sharing love with all the people you love is just an unforgettable day.”beautiful light wedding daysunset wedding photodancing shoes flip flops

“Our best advice to other couples planning their French wedding… plan in advance because the rooms are booked at least 1 year in advance. If you do not have time, refer to a wedding planner.”bridal flower crown

“We found our band on the Internet, and the caterer was local. For the Champagne we have chosen, the bride’s Champagne brand.”wedding party

“After the wedding we traveled for one month in the Philippines and Myanmar. We loved both countries and had a real break after the crazy year of wedding preparation. We discovered cultures and came back even more in love!”unique wedding venue
